“Move fast and break things. Unless you are breaking things, then you are not moving fast enough.” Mark Zuckerberg
Do you find yourself constantly running out of time to complete tasks?
Quit trying to manage the time that you have and start compressing your duties into the time that’s available. Start operating at a higher level of efficiency and accomplish outcomes at a faster rate. Speed is the key to success in 2016.
Here are three action steps you can take to compress time and get more out of every area of life.
1. 100 percent focus – When you are in a task, be in the task. Buddha says, “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.” Complete the task at hand as much as possible. When it is finished, let it be finished and move on.
2. Lose the fear – The faster you move on an idea, the less time fear has a chance to creep up and slow you down. When fear builds up, it leads to procrastination, and the idea sits in your mind taking up mental space. Take the action and live with the outcome. Good or bad. Just do it.
3. Overcommit and deliver – I want to load my schedule with commitments and be creative in satisfying my duties. When you’re forced to come through you will find new and creative ways to satisfy the people in your life. Many times, a one-hour meeting can be replaced with a two-sentence email. Don’t confuse being busy with being productive, and you’ll begin to explode toward your potential
Stop waiting to be perfect and get moving. Now is the time to manifest your destiny.
Perfection is simply a different word for procrastination. Move fast and break things.
